Stephanos Nyler
OOC Name: Ophelia
Face Claim: The incredible Calin Sitar
General Information
Race: Blutsauger
Magic?: Alchemist
Age: 132
Herz: None..
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 155 pounds
Caste: Impoverished
Occupation: Second in Command
Physical Description:
Although identical to his brother, Arasmus, Stephanos does have a slightly different appearance, though it can be hard to tell if one is not paying attention. Standing at six feet, two inches, he is shorter than his brother but what he lacks in height, he gains in weight. Unlike his brother, he weighs 155 pounds, which is a good 10 pounds heavier than his brother. His facial structure is the same as his brothers and his eyes host the same dark brown hue. As for his light brown hair, it is slightly longer than his brother’s and therefore, he normally pulls it back to avoid it from getting in his face. After all, it is a pure irritate of his. He even keeps his face unshaven, just like his brother, which makes them rather hard to tell the difference. However, if one truly wants to tell them apart, there is one way to point out one brother from the other. As much as Aramus don’t have much in the likes of flaws, other than a few scares over his body, Stephanos has a fake leg on his right side which he often keeps hidden with a longer pant leg. Some can notice it sometimes, especially if they are watching him carefully. Stephanos does have a profound limp which one can easily pick up. As for the way that he dressed, he is more of a casual being. Suits and ties are not his thing, he would prefer something that is far more comfortable to move in. That does not mean that he will not dress up. As a matter of fact, when trying to play the role of his brother, he is more than willing to dress up, if only it means to confuse others and to help his brother out.
Personality Description:
Stephanos was once a man who was outgoing, spirited, and carefree however, being imprisoned changed that part of him. The man has a cold nature to him, unwilling to let people in, even if he does have some relations with them. In his mind, not many were willing to save him, even though they may have adored him and therefore, he holds a deep grudge against all. Not only does he hold a grudge, but there is some paranoia that is very noticable. He has a fear that certain people may potentially be coming after him and therefore, he is always looking over his shoulder and ensuring that his trust with other people is very limited. Once gained however, he is one of those who is more than willing to fight to defend you, to ensure that you are kept safe. Along with the signs of paranoia is the fact that he is prone to delusions and flashbacks from the past. For him, they are had to control and can occur at any moment, mainly happening when he is trying his bed to go to sleep. Nighttime is the worst for him for every shadow he sees, he believed that there is someone in there, watching him, waiting to grab him and pull him into the shadows. It is something that he does not wish upon anyone.
As for his moods, they are as shifting as the sands themselves. Although he does not like to admit it to others around him, he has a tendency to shift into a depressive state, allowing his mind to be clouded by the dark thoughts that he deals with on a constant basis. It pulls him away from the world, away from the people that he has known for a good chunk of his life. It is during there times that the man himself feels the need to be alone, to not be bothered by he simple tasks that are asked of him. He wants no one’s company but himself and therefore, seeks company of only a few. He allows his mind to be clouded with dark thoughts, to pull him away from the world in which he lives. It helps him to think more clearly, to try to understand the world around him. Yet there are times in which the man is quite the opposite of his depressed self. Unable to fulfill his energy, he is often seen wandering the halls late at night, trying to find some sort of peace in his mind. During these times, he is more social, seeming to enjoy the company of people a bit more. His words are often rushed together and he does thing that he normally would never do. Compulsive, he acts without really thinking about what the outcome will be. He just does it without a care in the word. During these times, he so often tries to fight his mind however, he often loses and puts up with the power that his mind has over him.
Although he is trying to find his Herz, which has completely been a failed attempt on his part, Stephanos tends to push people away with his harsh words and sarcasm. He is not one to allow someone to walk on top of him, especially if it is a woman. He has too much pride for that. However, lhe is one of those who tends to know what he wants and what he is seeking, even if that may be hard to get. Same goes for women. He is more than willing to attempt to gather them up, to find interest in those who are a rarity to him. Those who are, he keeps them close and under a watchful eye, ensuring that no one dares to lay a finger on them. It is just how he is and how he is. Whatever is his, he makes sure that it stays his, even if he fights for it. Now, one may think that Stephanos may be a man of little words whose serious nature tends to make him hard to love but that is the opposite. He sincerely cares for those that he claims as his, offering them small gifts as his sincerity. He may not tell them outloud that he cares for them but he shows them the best that he can.
History
Stephanos was born to Delpha, the second born of the twins Arasmus and Stephanos. From the start, the child was am intelligent being, capable of learning things very quickly. Along with that, he had enjoyed exploring the world around him, believing that it was safe to wander wherever he desired. After all, he was a child with naïve sense of being. Who would ever want to hurt a child after all. So Stephanos has a childlike mind, always causing trouble and tormenting his sister. He enjoyed to have fun. What made it even better was the fact that his twin, Arasmus, was sometimes in on the game. Brother and brother, both helping out each other as they went along.
Yet like all things in this world, things do change and never remain the same as what they once were. The relationship with his brother began to shatter when he found out that it was Arasmus, not him, who would lead the Left Hand when their mother died. Constantly, Stephanos would argue with his mother, explaining the reasons why he deserved the title and not his brother. Yet, mother would not listen and he became frustrated with it all. He began to loath him, to not want anything to do with him. Suddenly, the man who’s was once carefree and and full of life and love for his family began to pull away. He wanted nothing to deal with them. Did not want anything to do with them. In his mind, they were nothing more but outsiders. Further and further he pulled away from his family, moving to he woods to practice and train while coming home late at night. It happened on a daily basis until suddenly, Stephanos did not return. Instead, he decided to make his own life and seek out his own will.
Stephanos began to travel, seeking what he has considered as peace for himself. Yet as he traveled, he missed his home more and more. He began to become homesick, wishing to see those who he thought as his family. So with a rather hard decision, he decided to return to the place that he once called home. When he got there however, it as not what he was expecting it to be.
War had found the Left Hand and they were being attacked. Without thinking properly, nor without knowing what he really should have done, Stephanos leap into actions, following after his brother into battle. He couldn’t let anything happen to him and therefore, he figured it was best in order to follow his brother as best as possible, whether or not it was a good idea, he did not know. So he fought beside his brother, watching his back. Unfortunately for them, when the battle became a bit too servere, they had to flee, each of them escaping he massacre that has happened to their people. Stephanos followed his brother, right to Fhuroi Falls. When they reached it, what they saw horrified them. There was only half of them remaining, the rest of them being trapped within he tunnel. Instead of turning his back upon his people, Stephanos offered himself to go and look for them. So grabbing one of the horses that they were given, he rode off to find the remainder of the group.
As he reached the tunnels, he slowed down the horse’s paced and force him to stop. Getting off him, Stephanos appraoched the tunnel, looking to see what he could find. But as he approached it, something happened that he wasn’t expecting. He was soon surrounded by cyborgs, those who had waited for someone to come as a trap. As much as he tried to put up a fight, it was to no avail. The man was gagged and bound, before being carried off to be shown to the King. It was there, within his own dugeon, that he was imprisioned, believed to be his very own brother.
Throughout his imprisionment, he was tortured with some trying to get information from him. Everytime, he denied knowing anythng, resulting in being tortured some more. For seven long months, he was imprisoned, watching the people around him perish slowly. He still kept his hope though, believeing that someone would come and remember him, that someone would come and help him out. It was for twenty years that he waited, hoping daily that someone would come and release him from his chains. Luckily for him, his chance has come. Arasmas had come to save his twin, who was ill and weak, nothing but skin and bones. His right leg has a severe wound to it, one that would cause the leg to be healed by his brother due to how severe it was however, Stephanos refused. And yet, when Stephanos saw his brother for the first time in seven months, he smiled and gathered enough strength to escape with his brother, out of this torture.
Once back in the safety of the rebel group, he was given food and water. Everything tasted wonderfully, despite the pain of his leg. He finally was able to get more food, finally was able to have his freedom. Stephanos was given a warm, comfortable bed, something that he greatly appreciated. Yet there was still a grudge that the man held towards his brother for not saving him soon enough and because of that, he confronted him. There were countless of days that the two men argued, some over stupid stuff like how the group should and shouldn’t be run. Of course, Stephanos didn’t have much of a say in it however, he still felt the need to speak his mind. This caused more frustrations between the brother and a rift, eventually causing Stephanos to pull away from the group he called home. During his time away from the group, he tried his best to blend into society, making sure that he was not caught once again. It was difficult but he managed the best that he could.
After years of living away from the group, he became tired of it all. Tired of living alone away from others. And so, he returned to the group he begrudgingly called family and back to the place he called home. He was finally home.
