Babies. They were adorable and to be celebrated. A blessing upon any family seeking to lay forth a future generation and ensure their bloodlines did not fade. Triplets. Now that was a miracle in and of itself! Triplets had out of wedlock was obviously not as celebrated. But surely the father should be thrilled. Lotte had survived such a harrowing pregnancy. You'd also expect said father to be in the manor with his pregnant lover as she gave birth to his kids. But no. Ra was banned from the house. Not by Lotte. But her family. They did not approve of him. Though he didn't argue the point. Honestly he hadn't even tried to enter the house, only to inquire about Lotte when he heard and smelled her go into labor. Yes, he had been lurking outside of her home, waiting for a moment to sneak in and see her (Did we mention her family did not approve?).
Of course the moment he knocked he had been turned away with hostility. Ra waited in the forest beneath the Lotte bedroom window, listening to her screams of agony as he whittled away at a human femur he had 'found' for her. Now it was becoming a beautiful work of art as Ra worked out his tension on the bone. Honestly he had no idea how long it was until the first cry of a babe came. Then there was more commotion, another one was coming! More cries, more commotion as it was learned a third child was one the way. All Ra wondered was how Lotte managed to cram so many babies inside of her. She wasn't a large woman, even with her pregnant belly. Surely she would have popped beforehand? He giggled. That was probably inappropriate and he might have been given a smack by Lotte's mom or one of her many siblings for that.
He listened for any more signs of another child somehow being hidden away in the petite woman's body. But none came as people bustled about carrying for the mother and children. It sounded like, despite everything, Lotte was okay. Which was all that mattered. The babies were healthy too, he wasn't sure how he felt yet about that. All he knew was he wanted to see Lotte. But there were so many humans there that'd do everything in their power to keep him from doing that. So he waited. He was a hunter, he was used to waiting. Though the task was quite a bit harder when Lotte was the prize. That bone was completely finished by the time people left his darling woman alone. He waited a bit longer to ensure that they were indeed letting her be before getting up from his spot beneath a tree. Tucking the bone away he nimbly scaled the wall, and then the manor. She was in a second story bedroom, but Ra had little trouble reaching it. Someone had even done him the courtesy of leaving the window open. The first time he had to get the latch open, the rest of the time Lotte left it unlocked for him. Yes, he was very good at climbing this building.
He entered the room as silent as a specter. Sitting on the windowsill he looked at Lotte as she lay in her bed. She looked awful and exhausted. Bringing three kids into the world at once will do that to you. Still, she had a certain look about her that he found alluring. He flashed at easy, devilish smile that never seemed to it straight. "Ello, Lottie." He said, his voice soft yet touched with a hint of heat. "Ye should has three kids more oft'n, ye look ravish'n." His gaze fell to the three bundles and something caught in his throat. He cleared it as he dismounted the windowsill and prowled away. In that moment something overcame the lycan, something that drove him to put as much distance between himself and those little bundles. Even though another part of him so desperately wanted to see them.
His normally confident manner suddenly quieted. The creature stilled as a new emotion overtook him one that he had not felt in many years. One he despised. Oh he felt a supreme sense of pride in being responsible for those perfect creatures. But that was not what threw the lycan off(not his usual off). Uncertainty, and a tinge of fear. Oh how he hated that feeling. Though would Lotte even pick up on it? Or would she be too exhausted to take note of the odd behavior of her children's father.
